St David's Day Photographs

On Friday before our school eisteddfod we will be taking both individual and a class photo of you all dressed up in your Welsh themed clothing.
We are then going to sell your photos to your family to raise extra money for our Outdoor Classroom. We are starting to buy equipment and plants to go in our outside area and it would be great to add a little more to our money pot.🌲 🌳 🌻 🌷
Each photograph will be backed and laminated so that would look lovely hanging up in your homes.
We are selling the photographs for £2 each.
I will definitely be buying a class photo to go up on our classroom wall.
If you have any questions feel free to ask me at the end of the day πŸ˜ƒ
Thank you
Miss Smith🌸

I can't wait to go to the Toy Museum tomorrow and travel back in time with youπŸ˜€
Remember we need to have a packed lunch as we will not be back in time for lunchtime in School.πŸͺ
Have a think tonight about what questions you might like to ask the historian when we are there. ❓

Learning Logs

I have just finished looking at all of your wonderful learning log tasks. You are all very creative and have presented your information in interesting ways. I will be sending a new learning log task out tomorrow 'What makes you proud to be Welsh?'. I would like these tasks to be in by the 1st March which is a week tomorrow as we will be celebrating St David's Day.
I am very much looking forward to seeing what you produce next week. Keep up the hard work year two.
Miss Smith :)

Maths Wizards!

Well done year two, you have been working extremely hard to add two two digit numbers by partitioning! Using Freddie Frogs method of splitting our numbers into tens and units to help us add on is very useful.
Mr Haines and myself were very pleased with everyone!

Pancake Day

As we are not in school on Shrove Tuesday we decided to go up to the Cookery Classroom and make some pancakes today!
We had lots of fun weighing the ingredients, mixing them together and then eating them up.
We would like to thank Miss Shaw for frying all of the pancakes for us, we really appreciate it.
All of the teachers made a special visit to our classroom after school to say thank you for the delicious pancakes that we made for them.
It was a scrumptious treat for us all :)

Snow Shower Fun

When the snow began to fall on Tuesday we all put on our coats and wrapped up warm before heading outside! The snow shower only lasted a few minutes but we enjoyed trying to catch the snowflakes in our hands and on our tongues :)

Discussing how to keep ourselves relaxed in lots of different situations

What a funtastic week we have had :)

Well done boys and girls! We have had a great week in school learning about writing play scripts, adding on by partitioning, using timelines to show how toys have changed throughout the last century and discussing how to keep ourselves relaxed.
We have another jammed packed week ahead on Monday. We are putting on our poet hats and writing poems, data handling using our Welsh language skills and making pancakes to celebrate Shrove Tuesday.
Have a lovely weekend and make sure you help everyone in your family relax!
See you all on Monday,
Miss Smith :)
