Purple Mash Activity

We have had two weeks learning all about Pirates and you have all really enjoyed making treasure maps, writing diary entries and designing pirate ships. I would like you to go on to Purple Mash and search - Pirates. You can then choose from any of the activities available to complete for your homework. Remember to save your work in the 'Dosbarth Porffor' folder. I look forward to seeing your completed work!

What a lovely treat!

We were very lucky at St Gwladys today as we were able to see the cup that the Welsh rugby team won in this years six nations. It was very exciting indeed! It reminded us of the importance of working as a team to achieve a common goal.
I wonder what tomorrow has in store for us ...

Cardiff Wheelbarrow Competition

Well done boys and girls for helping myself and Miss Shaw create a beautiful wheelbarrow to enter into the Cardiff Wheelbarrow competition.  This years theme was 'A Wheely Good Read' and we decided to theme our wheelbarrow on 'The Tale of Peter Rabbit'.  We delievered our wheelbarrow yesterday and we are looking forward to seeing it displayed in the competition in Cardiff this weekend.  The wheelbarrow will be displayed at the RHS Flower Show from the 19th to the 21st of April and winners will be decided by a public vote.  So lets keep our fingers crossed for the weekend :)  You should all be very proud of yourselves, it looks amazing!!!

Outdoor Classroom

Boys and Girls, what a fantastic start you have made to improving our outdoor classroom.  We have had many compliments from children, teachers and parents on how wonderful it looks.  All of your hard work has paid off!  Lets hope the sun comes out over the next few weeks so we can finishing planting and enjoy using all of the resources you decided to purchase.  I will post a picture over the next few days so your families can see how great it looks.

Outdoor Area

Hi boys and girls,
I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday and enjoying the beautiful sunshine today. I just wanted to tell you all that I have started buying the equipment you have chosen for the outdoor area using the money you raised at the Winter Fayre and from selling photographs. I have bought two scooters, plants pots, two small trees, a chalk board, number and letter cones and paint. I am hoping to start painting the railings in the next few days if the weather stays dry.
